XP Message After Boot - MUI unattend action

Postby meppwc » Tue Jul 28, 2015 12:34 pm

i have noticed on my XP machine of getting an occasional blue screen and the system reboots.
After the reboot and Windows has loaded, I get a message "MUI unattend action".
The blue screen and this message seems to have both started at the same time.

Can someone tell me what might be the problem and if a restore from an earlier date may be a solution?

MUI stands for "Multilingual User Interface Language Packs" so check if U had been playing around with multilingual packs, perhaps uninstalling them is the solution

Should be a record in the System Events Log of what caused the problem. Go into Administrative Tools, then Computer Management. The Event Viewer has two primary logs.. "Application" and System". Look for an entry with a flag, at about the same time as the incident.
