XP Wireless Will Not Connect to Gateway

Postby meppwc » Mon Jul 20, 2015 1:03 pm

I have Uverse broadband with a gateway. All of my machines (all xp) will find and connect to the internet
My Dell D620 XP SP3 finds my gateway, but will not get an IP address. It just hangs there
Network Authentication is WPA-Personal(PSK)
TCP/IP Protocol is installed.

I looked at the settings between my other XP computers and this one and nothing is any different.
I am lost.

Has it ever worked before? I think your D620 has an Intel wireless card and I seem to remember that early drivers made it difficult to connect to some brands of access points,3COM in particular. Update the driver using wired network and try again.
