...is there tech to make two dual link dvi outputs on a graphics card be combined to support a single 4k monitor, either by use of a 2xdvi/dp adapter of some sort or by two cables? I think I remember something about this being possible, but can't find any links.

thanks.

Or this and then combine the HDMI signals?

What brand/model is your 4k monitor and what connection options do you have in there?

thanks for looking guys... don't really have an actual 4k monitor in mind exactly. this is in case legacy customers of ours wants to use 2 4k monitors with one of our machines already built, which we used to put lots of quadro's (quadro 2000 or 4000's) in that have 2 dvi ports and one DP. each dvi does less than 4k res, but I thought if we could combine the two outputs somehow, then the two of them together could do 4k spec. I thought this would be possible, but maybe I'm wrong. they will be able to run at least one though, through the dp port, so that's a plus. hoping to have seen a single, easy solution... not an external box, but pretty much just a cable adapter... I thought the driver's made by NVidia allow for such things.
it is possible some of the 4k monitors have two dvi inputs that might allow this, maybe?

I think I am indeed seeing something like that when searching for info. You want me to check for that possibility?

any help is greatly appreciated. my searches are coming up null.
the best result would be something that fits our two dvi ports and will run a single dp cable end (or hdmi end, I guess) into any 4k monitor. that way end users can buy any 4k monitor and we can send them what needs to fit it.
but if 4k monitors natively do this with two dvi cables, that'd be a good answer, too... not the optimal outcome, but good to know. we don't send out UHD monitors yet, so have had no experience with that side.

TIA.
