I prefer the Logitech style mouse, a larger one that fits my hand. The one I was using is a B120 model. Wires in the "tail" or cable frayed, so I did a repair (shortened about 6 inches). Lasted 6 months, give or take. Started again with hit and miss. So decided to get a new Logitech mouse for a spare, this time it was an M100 model. Plugged into the KVM port, no response.. no LED light. Plug into a USB port, lights up and responds! But not good for my use, with four active systems at the desk!
Soo.. opened the new M100, identical "tail" or cable and plug, same connections. Took the cable out, put into the B120. Working as designed again! Will have to repair the faulted old cable for when needed. Strange.

Seems to be that the M100 and ur KVM port donĀ“t speak the same "language"

Time to check the capacitors in the KVM. To me sounds like the new mouse is taking a bit more juice than the old one thus overloading the failing caps...
