I would really like to send a private message to forum user "evasive" but I can't find a "send PM" button anywhere.

evasive if you see this, I really need some of the documentation about Olivetti computers "available" on your website elhvb.com but I really don't know how you're supposed to get the files... I tried sending an email, never got a reply...

I would especially like to have the documentation for the Olivetti M380-40 (cap21.pdf).

Thanks?

Normally I would have seen the email request and reply with the pdf as attachment. So, I'll check if there's still a request sent and reply on that one.

Alright I tried again. When I click on cap21.pdf it opens up Windows Live Mail 2012, I click on send, and that's it. Am I doing something wrong?

Should be a small icon to the right of each poster's input. Upper torso and "PM" noted.
Hover the mouse over it, and it should say "private message". Many members will have more than just the "PM" icon.
Click on that, and a message page will open. You can delete some of the unwanted text in the header info if desired. Below that is the message body, where you input your message. When done, then at the bottom is the "submit" button.

As a new user there are restrictions to prevent spam. I have passed this along to Edwin (aka evasive). He will respond when he gets a chance.

It should indeed send an email to me with the subject being cap21.pdf. I'll check my spamfilter to see if it got lost in there.

Karl, this is on one of my webpages at elhvb.com, not in the forums at motherboards.org

If it still doesn't work, couldn't you simply host the file somewhere and send me a link to it so that I could download it?

From a search for " Olivetti M380-40 cap21.pdf " this was found..
http://www.elhvb.com/mboards/olivetti/systems1.html
Right clicking on the highlighted text choose "copy Email address".
olivetti_info@xs4all.nl
Then left click on it, your regular Email service will come up.
Compose with the Email address pasted for sender, the rest is SOP.

For future reference, new user group is indeed prohibited from sending emails or PM's as part of the SPAM prevention...

But that doesn't seem to work. I never get a reply...

Why can't you simply host the file cap21.pdf on a file hosting site like ehhh... DropBox? Or MediaFire? Or Google Drive? If you're an Admin on this forum, you probably know what my email is? You could try sending the file to that email.
