Anybody know the default logon for a Charter Xfinity modem (Cisco DPC3216 modem/voice combo)? I already tried all the usual suspects, all kinds of combinations of 'admin's and 'password's and <nulls>. Nada.

I already discovered their tech support doesn't even know how to access the web interface. So now that I've found it on my own, it's pretty good odds it would be nothing but a further waste of my time to call back and ask if they've learned to locate the mystery web interface yet, so that they then in turn might have learned and can provide me its default logon credentials.

I've not yet been a Charter customer for seven hours and I'm already laying odds it won't last another 24.

Could not find much useful info either. Only this possible blog link..

It suggests that the provider find the "door" to the CTMS after you provide the model and serial number to them.
And here is the Charter 'troubleshooting' link. Guess you have already hit that?

Using the command prompt, try ipconfig/all to see any active IP addresses and MAC addresses. Should show up, if active.

Thank you, Karlsweldt. I'm also getting the general impression that it is a lost cause.

Even Cisco is silent on that one (I read through the entire manual).

One final "gasp" before it goes to the cruncher.. check your browser user names and passwords, possibly listed there?
Yes, logon info is kept for sites and such.. but possibly a network logon string exists?

And then there's a report by someone to just click the login button, leaving both entries <blank>... Just try, who knows it can be that simple...
