Best musclecars?

Which ones would you select from the past and the present? Classic T/As had style, and the Chrysler SRT8 Core seems to represent modern muscle best. I guess this is about some models we would like to own, space and money permitting, lol.

Having been there I would say the 1964 Ford Thunder Bolt & the 1964 Plymouth hemi would be two of the top true mussel cars of my time. Then there was the 67 Camaro 427 Yenko but that's another story.

Nice looking car, but nothing Pontiac did much performance wise other than attract the girls which actually was pretty important back then :)

One of the most potent muscle cars was the 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake.
While a race track car only, later models were classified for street driving.
How about the Ferrari Testarossa with a V-12 600 hp engine?
Or the Tesla Roadster.. can do 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds.
The 1970 Chevelle SS454, with the LS6 motor, rated at 450 hp, was also a "top dawg".
For Indy history, the Offenhauser engine was one of the most powerful for its time.

Well talk about the Offy engine and Indy.....been there many times. Yes the Offy engine was popular but was no match for the short lived Andy Granatelli V8 834 hp engine 4x4 race car. This car was one bad a-s car at the Brickyard.

Fancy foreign made expensive high performance cars were not within the grasp of the average Joe. True muscle cars were bought and drag raced both on the street and at the track and over the length of 1320 feet they did go.
