is there a limit to Chrome bookmarks?

Postby lannaheim » Sat May 03, 2014 11:35 am

I have already plumbed the depths of Google, and although I gleaned enough to know that my client has 7779 bookmarks in folders, I can't find whether there is a limit. But recently, he was able to scroll to the bottom of his Chrome bookmarks, and now it stops midway. I have verified this, and reduced the number by eliminating some duplicates. Yet it still stops scrolling halfway.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It shouldn't do... Mainly History will bog a browser down. Is it the latest version of Chrome? I would do the usual virus/malware checks and run Ccleaner..
I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.

Yet to some people I still know nothing...

Not really acquainted with Chrome, but perhaps too many files displayed in the "lister" or browser used? Sufficient system memory for all the listings?
Perhaps categorizing them into sub-sets (A to K, L to Z) or classes?
