Just installed a new SSD to replace my existing HDD (just wanted to) and I'm impressed

Image

Used a slightly smaller SSD than the HDD (240G vs 250G) to explain the difference in the image.

Solid-state drives are indeed faster than 'conventional' drives. No mechanical interface for data transfer.
Their life span is still not as good as a regular hard drive, but is improving.
They also use less power, and produce less wasted heat.

True, but 3 year warranty, 1, 000, 000 hr MTBF, and $127.00 delivered ain't bad.

it's prolly an m4... you'll get better read/writes if you switch to a controller with sata3 ports. you may need an add-in card for that though.
in any case, they smoke hdd's on any platform.
