AMD has this oddball chipset that I found one or two MB's that have it. I can't seem to find anything on those other than they are for a AM3+ socket which is current.
Anyone know anything about them and why is info so elusive??

The specific board is here;

Found a Google link to New Egg about the board.
ASRock 980DE3/U3S3 AM3+ AMD RX881/760G is one version. MSI has a similar one. The "760" notation may be similar to the "710", likely an updated chipset version.

Apparently it's some oddball chipset which I would stay away from.

Clearing overstock anyone? Asrock sometimes does this. ECS and PC Chips at the time were masters at it...

As are the board distributors for HP/Compaq, and probably others as well.
