How to prevent Win7 clustering task bar icons?

Postby BrevCampagnolo » Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:19 pm

It annoys me no end that Windows 7 clusters together task bar icons according to the application rather than leaving them in the (chronological) order in which I opened them. Once again, Micro$loth has a better way ...that sucks. Anybody know how to prevent this and get back to the old Windoze XP/2K/98/95 behavior?

I'm not talking about grouping. Grouping is the "stacking" of icons created by the same app once the task bar is full. I know how to turn off grouping. I want to turn off clustering.

I searched G**gle and even inquired at the Micro$loth user's group, but no dice. Naturally there were no end of people who couldn't manage to RTFQ and were eager to offer details on how I could turn off grouping, which is typical. And I browsed the registry but didn't see anything that looked promising.

Anybody?

Thank you, Hardware Junkie, that did it. Was that something you had come across before or is your G**gle-fu stronger than mine?

Amazing how many add-ons like that I have to run on Win7 just to make it endurable. And don't get me started on Windoze 8.
