Need help with building my rig

Postby cpu guy » Mon Dec 24, 2012 10:06 am

Hi,

I saved money to build a new system, my budget around $1500. Since I don't have enough space for a full tower case, I decided to go with micro atx case.

I chose ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 + Intel 3570K processor, but I need recommendations for the case, PSU, RAM, HDD, SSD and Video Card.

I am planning to run WIN 8 + Ubunto, I heard that ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 have problems with WIN 8 is that correct ?

I need your recommendations for the rest of the parts :)

So far what I am sure about :

i have worked with the rampage 4 gene's and there is a bios update they want you to do before running win8... that is if you recieve the board with a previous version of the bios. i think the bios's that had ".cap" at the end are good, the ones with ".rom" at the end needed updating.
