Zero experience myself, but I've heard 8 works pretty well on multi-monitor desktops. The feature I'm most interested in is the new scheduler. Does it actually gets the 8-core FX's to work as they should?

Yes, they did, but the improvement was not on the scale I figured a fix would be.
