Which i7 platform, sockket 1156,1366,1155 or 2011? What are you wanting to do with system?

BTW what's the idle power consumption of ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP, H77 (dual PC3-12800U DDR3). Does it consume lot of power, more than other motherboards of same class? |

I think your harddisk will take more idle power than your board, shouldn't worry too much about that unless you want to run this system from an UPS/battery.
