I have a networking problem that, based on some discussion in the tech support forum, boils down to getting a new network adapter -- there's a conflict in security support (WEP vs WPA). I'm going to build a new PC, as the old one is 2003 vintage, and I want as much compatibility as possible. Mr T recommended Edimax network adapters, and I just have one more question -- what's the real difference between hooking to the PCI slot in the current PC versus a USB connection (2.0 on current box, 3.0 on new box)? My ISP speed is 20 Mbps, so the 802.11g standard will be fine for overall speed, but is there a difference in speed support between the USB versus the PCI slot? Mr T also recommended getting an 802.11n adapter, and I was wondering, given the ISP speed, if the 11n is just overkill, or does it work better?
