Good day folks,
I want to buy a AMD FX-8150 processor with the AMD watercooler, now on the German amanzon u can, when buying, select 2 stiles luftgekhult (aircooled) and wassergekhult (watercooled). Now my question is do I get the watercooler in the "wassergekhult edition", i know probably a dumb question, but I am a total pc noob and dont know anything about watercooling, pls help!

if this is your first build i'd go for the aircooled version. watercooling is easier these days but there's no room for errors. aircooled is easier for building.

I have build a few sistems, but none of them used watercooling, thats why I"m a little afraid, and i was planning to take the Arctic CPU Freezer XTREME Rev. 2 but i have read that other AM3+ users complain that the cooler doesnt cover the whole processor surface, that results bad cooling and high temperature, but i want to overclock the sistem to the max  / |

Most air cooled heatsinks are compatible with both AMD and Intel. Just a matter of a different bracket is all.

yeah, i've seen designs that leave a little room on the edges of the chip that is not contacted by the heatsink.... while thermally, there may be room for improvement, the fact that there is a big solid copper core covering most of the rest of the area, you still are getting good cooling action. i'd say that most people are just pushing too high with an OC. it could be a lot of different things cutting off early.
