As it pertains to an XP Pro SP3 PC:

Currently using Outlook Express 6 and set up to receive my email from Gmail and it all works fine. I was wondering about the other Windows email programs that can be used with XP Pro.

I see that XP will not support some of the other Windows email programs. I think Outlook can be used but I don't know what it really looks like or if it's much better than Outlook Express 6 or if it's worth the trouble installing it?

I realize that there is only about 2 mores years left worth of support for XP and then I will have to think about another O.S. and probably retire this currently 8 year old P4 PC. But in the mean time I was wondering if I could update my current email program?

Is installing Outlook worth it ???????????

If you have the license for it (bought office including outlook) you can try it. What version of outlook do you have the license for?

I don't have the license or Outlook. If its something that needs to be bought in order to get Outlook then I will need to know a little more about Outlook in how it looks and works.
