As I am not ready yet to move over to a new motherboard, I currently have 6 Gigs ram (Geil 3x2GB DDR3-1600) and I am looking to upgrade my ram, I looked on e-bay and they have this ram, its a "G.Skill NQ F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ 6GB DDR3 1600MHz (3x2GB)" , so this will give me 12GB ram, will this work on my mother board or can you recommend a better option?

Sorry I am a Motherboard NOOB!

Thanks

Odd

These are my specs if you interested:
Moterboard: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
CPU : Intel I7 950 3.06ghz SKT 1366
Case: CoolerMaster Storm Scout
Power: 1000W

Welcome to the motherboards.org....

It should work fine, I am presuming you are populating all the slots.....

Yes all the slots, so it does not it matter that they are different brands?

Do they all have to be 2gb of Ram per slot or can some be 4GB per slot?

Thanks

You can mix and match RAM these days esp with DDR3... And yes you can run with 2 x 2Gb in 2 slots and 2 x4Gb in the other slots...

They have been a bit of a boomerang board, thankfully defunct now... At the time moved over to Gigabytes X58 - less returns...

I am new to this site,
The topic is not standardized. I take that back. Your SATA controller determine to not recognize SAS drives additional than a SAS controller be supposed to not have encompassed a problem through SATA drive. for more information http://forums.techarena.in/motherboard-processor-ram/1450230.htm
