intel DG965OT

Postby tinman948 » Fri May 20, 2011 7:08 pm

I would like to flash this board. It's an intel DG965OT and it went into some kind of Gateway I don't know what Model it was. At Gateway this board can be in several models. I know that the GM5424 has this board. The utility at Gateway and at Intel refuse to install. They say incompatible version or something like that.
In the Bios setup here's some of the info:

MQ96510J.15A.0319.2006.1228.1552
Ver.# AA D75595-201
Ser.# BQOT705002QE
Intel Management Engine Info 2.0.5.1124

That's an OEM chipset. You won't find another BIOS unless Gateway still has them up. Doubtfui, on that.

At any rate, you can't flash a new BIOS on a Gateway board.

Interesting. Retail board:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/hi ... ds/dg965ot

but custom Gateway bios MQ96510J.15A for true Intel retail that should be 86, not 15.

So, you need the Gateway flavour of the bios which can be found here:

Thanx, for the reply but seems Gateway never had an update for this bios. The link you sent didn't work on mine. I guess they must match exactly.

SLIC 2.1 into the bios is for spoofing the activation for an OEM version of windows 7 on a retail system? What do you think?

Yup... Trying to hack the activation process is illegal and not to be discussed here.
