Can't find option to switch on RAID on my BIOS

Postby alexeyfressko » Sat May 21, 2011 5:59 am

Hi.

I can't find option to switch on RAID support on my motherboard.
Motherboard is Intel DH61WW and it is has RAID support (in documentation and on Intel web site).

But in BIOS screen I can't find it. There are no such option.

Please, help.

Motherboard: Intel DH61WW.
BIOS version: BEH6110H.86A.0020.2011.0218.1538 (I think it is last).

BIOS tabs:
Main
Configuration (Onboard Devices, SATA Drives, Event Log, Video, Fan Control & Real-Time Monitoring, PCI/PCIe Add-In Slots)
Security
Power
Boot
Exit

In "Sata drivers" tab there are only options "Chipset SATA", "Chipset SATA Mode" and "SMART". No more.[/list]

No RAID mentioned on the product page:
http://www.intel.com/Products/Desktop/M ... erview.htm

It has an Intel matrix SATA controller that can be used for software RAID. If you want hardware RAID get a true hardware RAID array controller or buy a different board with true onboard hardware RAID.
We hate rut, but we fear change.

I think you are right.
I just was confused becouse this mother board in list of supported models:
(I can't post url, but you can see it in support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-020811.htm#levels on intel web-site).
Maybe they mentioned software RAID support.
I will try to use software RAID, if it is possible. Thanks.
