| Why would moderators come first? There would be nothing to moderate without a forum. That's like asking what came first, computers or Windows? |

That's like asking what came first, computers or Windows? | Thats easy windows, without windows the outside world would not be seen from your house or place of work... (serous)The hardest question is what came first - DNA or the molecular cell... (end of serious bit)... The next hardest question would be what is the meaning of everything, and that is simple... 42. _________________ I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.

Windows can refer to several fields or descriptions. True, "windows" were invented to allow light into structures without the wind, bugs, animals or foul weather coming with it.
But 'Windows' in reference to computers was a much later association. Computers were around for many decades, the earliest reference being the Babbage Differential Engine, a mechanical "computer". The first "true" computer was invented by Konrad Zuse in the mid-1930s, considered as the first electronic computer model. Eniac followed in the early 1940s.
It was not until 1983 that Microsoft® announced the first version of the Windows® operating system, version 1! But it was only a GUI, and required a version of DOS to be used. The first true Windows® OS to incorporate all system files into its base was in 1995.
Windows 3.0® was introduced in 1990, and could be considered as an OS.. but still required a DOS base. _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |

Long story short......Windows, but I think everyone knows that, which is the point. |

Well technically... people (moderators) came first... Without people there would be no computers, no internet/intranet. Thus there would be no need for forums...
