HDTV to internet w/o computer

Postby BIGMAN131307 » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:37 am

I have an HDTV that I would like to have connected to the internet. But I don't want it to be connected to a computer.

I just need to to be able to browse the web, play occasional videos (Hulu/Youtube). Just a basic web browser for my living room.

* My cable modem is my room, on the other side of house. Too far to safely run any cables.
* HDTV has it's own coax plug for tv connection
* HDTV has HDMI, ethernet, etc.. ports.

What would be the best/easiest/cheapest way to do this?

you can use 300 feet of cable before encountering any problems. if you need more than that use a switch half-way. will give you 600 feet. is that enough?

If you don't want to run cables, then your looking at a Wireless Ethernet bridge.
But nothing is as cheap as running cable
