Anyone know how to get rid of AV Security Suite?

I don't know how I got this on my pc, but it's a doggone virus. How do I get rid of the thing?

If the program is auto-loaded as a service when the OS starts, it has to be deactivated first before removal. And you have to turn off the 'restore' feature, otherwise Windows will undo all your work on the next restart!
Likely you got this 'nasty' from a pop-up ad for an anti-virus program imitator, such as Anti-Virus 2009 or similar. Even if you click the "X" box to close the nuisance, it dumps its malware on you!

bleeping-computer is one of my reference sites where it comes to removing nasties like the antivirus2009/antivirus2010/vundo/smitfraud and their cousins. they know their stuff and have the tooling to make things possible.
