off hand D4 in that string is DFI but you seem to have an OEM board.
Why do you want to update your bios? If your system is working ok now, it won't work any faster or better based on a new bios alone. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

There are 2 or 3 bios revisions after your current one but all they do is add support for newer processors. Nothing about Vista/Windows 7 support.
the error you get can also be through a bad cd/dvd or bad optical drive when it cannot read properly. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

Cd/dvd-drive, hard disc - this is the first thing, what i'm checking. I try new hard disc and cd/dvd drive, testing memory's with 3D Mark - no problems.
So, I update my bios the last night (found it in the russian site) and after bios updating I installed windows 7.
After that Windows works normally! No more blue-screen errors...
Evasive thanks for reply's! |

3DMark doesn't test system memory, only a synthetic video memory test, but whatever.........glad it worked out. _________________ Mine go to 11 |
