This continued til about 8.30am(GMT+1) when FAH shut the core down (fahCore_a0) and refused to restart . Had to dump the lot and start over from scratch.
Another false positive I believe!!!

Might be a false positive, but also may be the WU itself, a Beta test version of a protein that is in pre-testing. Have had a few of those.. they end early, but you still get points for what was done. But getting no work to do is common, as servers may be off-line for maintenance, or having too many connections. Best is to shut down the process, and restart in a minute or so.

How do you step by step rmove a computer virus with avast antivirus? I have a computer virus and have removed alot of ifected files with avast, but it's still here, what should I do? And I'm not gonna install another antivirus than Avast. Any experts out there?

That depends entirely on what virus you have found. Some may be removed with Avast, others require a seperate removal tool because avast is not yet capable of removing it. Some require you to start the system in safe mode and run avast. So, what viruses have you found that you cannot remove?
