i.e. similar to the motherboard identification forum.
I'm forever having trouble figuring out in advance if a stick of memory I'm considering buying on E-Bay is going to work in a particular board.

Motherboard spec sheets/overview pages and or manuals usually will tell you exactly what is compatible with a motherboard in regaurds to RAM. If you are unsure what you have for a motherboard the you can post in the motherboard ID forum and we will do our best to figure it out...

The same holds true for the memory stick in question, post the link to where you saw it listed and we might be able to tell what it is and if it will work in your board. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

Thanks guys!
I appreciate the offers & plan to take advantage of them!
Since I like to learn as I go, I hope you'll also be willing to give a short "why" for your conclusions.
Thanks again; regards, Jerry
