Hi

Windows 7 Pro 64bit,
Intel DP55WB Motherboard
i5-750 LGA1156 CPU
4GB, 2x 2GB pc3 10666 OCZ High performance Memory.

All parts are brand new.
If i use both sticks of memory, the machine keeps randomly re-starting. Machine works fine with only one (either) stick in.

Is there a setting in the BIOS i need to alter.

Thanks for any help with this.

Need to know what PSU you are using and also what video card....? You may need to manually adjust the RAM timings rather than let the mainboard do it...

Hi

I have checked in the BIOS for these settings
CL 9-9-9-26 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)

they appear to be right, but there does not seem to be a way to increase voltage to 1.7, the highest manual setting is 1.65v

Memory multiplier is set to 10: DDR3-1333

Hope this helps.

Thanks

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dp55wb/sb/CS-030682.htm

Memory with a working voltage of more than 1.6V is unsupported on these boards. Swap your memory for something that does work.

Hi

have just set the voltage to 1.65, & all appears to be well.

I will report back one way or the other!

Thanks.

Checked the OCZ Memory Configurator out, and that RAM is not listed as tested compatible....

Good luck. You have two very knowlegeable people who researched your RAM and find it incompatible. If you choose to keep running with parts that don't match, so be it.

Yep. It works because there's always a margin on parts so it does work. For now at least. There's no way of knowing how long since it is operated outside the specifications.
