No, you can not change an existing partition. You should be able to create a new partition on the unused space though.

It can be done, but I don't know of any free programs that can change existing partitions. I have Partition Magic 8.0 which will resize the partition any way you like. Unfortunately, you have to pay for it.

Resizing a partition can be done, but you have to ensure that there are no files in the sector that will be altered.. or they may be lost forever.
And it would be good practice to do a complete backup of the system, before doing such work.
Here is a link to some MS FAQs about partition changing.
Acronis, Paragon and Ranish are also listed for "hard drive partition manager" if doing a Google search. Some are freeware, others are only a purchase type. What you purchase may be more worthy.. YGWYPF.

Of course, you can.
Well, is yours server computer or non-server computer?
What I've used to resize my partitions was easeus partition manager (you can google for it)and it worked well. You may have a try. FYI, it has different editions for different computer users. Just try the suitable one.

Has anyone 100% definite proof Ranish Part. Manager works on NTFS disks? Can't find info on that.

Per this link about partition managers, there are many available.
The last issue of Ranish I could find was dated 2002.
Acronis is still rated the best for all needs. There is a free trial offer, or you can outright purchase the'whole kaboodle'.

I've just tried Easus, and it's BRILLIANT! I put a new har drive into my laptop, and used my recovery disks to reinstall Windows. However, as I was merrily uninstalling and installing stuff, I realised that it had created a C drive of 13Gb, leaving 230Gb unallocated... so I used Easus, it rebooted, repartitioned, and restarted without a murmur.
Add this one to the database of handy freebies...
