I consider the OEM PC an FRU (Field Replacable Unit), I'm using a Levono Refurb for Internet access now (Less than $300 XP Pro). I might use some 'older' components (Floppy, DVD, perhaps case) - but would rather build just to KNOW what's in there, and that I can upgrade (for example, start out with a PS that's larger than needed). Onboard video eats up 'Shared' memory, besides, it's just more fun to build (some Mods are very inexpensive but make it very personal too...).
