My biggest question is, why no real-world benchmarks? Why only synthetics? Synthetic benchmarks have their place, no doubt, but real-world is where the true test lies. Synthetics can be optimized for specific processors. Real-world apps and games can be too, but it's less likely since they (the developers) want to sell their product to all computer owners out there, not just owners of a specific processor.
