Every one of us is, in some way, playing a "role" in the "game of life".
Some of us are role models to others.. a 'hero' in certain ways.
Children are always in a sort of "RPG" when they mimic their parents or others.
Or characters they see in movies or books. Or computer games!
Whatever the field or occupation, we strive to do our best.. and achieve the end goal.

I heartily second this game It is a better version of Oblivion. I put over 100 hours of game play into this game.

Honestly, I have this game for the Ps3 and it was fun, but it wasn't more than a pick up put down kinda thing, Maybe it was just the ps3 but i was thoroughly disappointed with the storyline and the lack of guilds like elder scrolls.

Hi all :-) I'm a first poster from New Zealand.

LadyExie - we must have similar tastes in RPGs, but I think you're more adventurous than I. After years of aimlessly kicking stones and silently mourning the moribund state of the Dungeon Siege franchise, I finally worked up enough enthusiasm to try Oblivion.
Well......I'm glad I took the plunge, it's a great game. However, there was something about Dungeon Siege that kept drawing me back for 'just one more rematch', like re-reading an old and favorite book.

Diablo was kinda similar but I couldn't get into it, like I did with Dungeon Siege.

My old Amiga favorite was Dungeon Master, tho I never could finish the fight with (Chaos?) the last Boss. And before that it was Cloudy Mountain (?) on the Intellivision.

So for me, Dungeon Siege is unbeatable, and I'd run, not walk to the nearest store if GPG ever bring out a new version.

Sorry, this didn't do much to answer your query about similar games to those you've played. :-)

if you only picked it up and put it back down, then you didn't play it long enough to get into the complexities of the multiple stories that go on concurrently.

also, what's the point of a guild in a game like this? it's a not really a class-based game, it's open to whatever you want to do...mix and match to your hearts content.

IMHO, playing a RPG like fallout on a console is setting yourself up for a disappointment.

I wholeheartedly agree. I did nto play it on a console but on the PC it was friggin awesome. Graphics were good and all but the open ended feel of the game was what really got me going. Exploring all the little crevices of the world was awesome.
