Check If U have the ´simple file sharing´ activated in both PC (It´s a default in XP HOME, but in XP PRO) IF U use it, U can share any file or folder to everyone without restrictions, if not, U have to set accounts and permissions to everyone U want to be using the shared resources

Simple file sharing is set on both machines. Looks to be a problem with the networking on my end. Time for a reinstall.

Well, reinstalling the system should solve the problem, but I don´t like reinstallations too much because U will never know why the hell U had such a problem.

Try this, it's worth a shot............disable your firewall. (of course, cut the internet connection first).
Then reboot and see if that works.
I know you said the firewall looked fine....but.......

Run a full scan on your HD including a surface scan, then Disable sharing on all shared folders. Reboot and reinstall O/S using the repair option. Once that is complete Enable sharing and it should work. One of my rigs loses its shared folders about twice a month and this always fixes it. I suspect the HD in my machine has a slight fault as it always finds some sort of error, usually cross linked files and the odd bad sector.
