minor power failure

Postby warbenekar » Mon Oct 27, 2008 5:56 am

Had a small power outage last night. All machines reset, in the process of loading diskless folder - already got 20 something up, get the other 10-15 up as the day goes. Already noticing a small slip in numbers, hopefully only temporary.

Probably too much load on the breaker for that branch. Each machine will draw about 200 watts, not counting the monitor. For a 15 amp circuit on 120 volts, that is 1800 watts.. or only nine systems. Each would have to be started in succession.. not all at once, beyond 5!
F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes!
