I was wondering if this was normal, the fact that I getting low point WUs. They are mostly Amber Cores (2500 frames), that are running anywhere from 8-20 seconds to complete a frame. I normally get 2 WU in a day, sometimes 3. But, they are like 84 points. Is this normal?

Using the following flags --> -verbosity 9 -advmethods -forceasm

I know I have a X2 processor, but Im not interested in running the program on each core. I have a few 2.8 - 3.0GHz P4s that I may get up and running at some point.

Same here....lately I've been getting some really low point w/u's that take days to process. I used to get smaller w/u's that would process in less than a day, which would make my daily total higher.

Yes, you'll get these using the -advmethods flag. These Ambers are double value pointers, well worth doing compared with current Gromacs.

Most of the "big pointers" have gone to the Gro-SMP processing stage. They take a day or two to finish, but their value is up around 1,000 points+ each!
Most of the "common" Ambers, Gromacs or D-Gromacs have dropped to around 200~300 points.

If all the advanced processes are available to the WU, you should finish each in around 1/4 or less time than minimally required. The setup should have the SSE features fully available. I run two instances of F@H on my P4/2.8-H/T setup.. and have gotten all within about 1/4 the allocated minimal time. And with only about 16 hours daily run time. Can't afford to run 24/7 due to higher energy costs.
