After many months of planning (and spending) I have my new system up and running. Actually, it is an upgrade since the hard drives, system board, CPU, and HSF are the "new" items.
The CPU is running a bit hot and I need to address that issue before I unleash F@H on it.
This is what I have:

Coolermaster "stacker" case,
Intel D975xbx2 Mobo,
Intel Core 2 Quad-Q6600 "G0",
Coolermaster Gemini II HSF with two 120mm fans,
4-1GB Kingston 667mhz DDR2 (total 4GB),
Ati Radeon HD 2600 XT w/512mb GDDR3,
Hauppage! TV tuner,
Linksys wmp300n wireless adapter,
4-Seagate 500GB SATA 300 Hard drives setup as 2 raid0 drives (total nearly 2TB),
Samsung 22" LCD,
And many more "goodies"
The problem is that the CPU runs at 55-60C idle,
The system temp is 28C, plenty of air flow and fans.
I need to address the heat issue before folding,
Any ideas?

Congrats on your "new" build!
The q6600 (SLACR) with the "GO" stepping normally runs a bit warm.. as per the Intel specs sheet. A similar q6600 (SL9UM) with the "B3" stepping runs a bit cooler per its Intel specs page. Otherwise, the two models don't appear any different in specs.

Actually, the "B3" should run hotter since it has higher "draw":
B3=105w
GO=95w
I have not built a "quad" before and thought 60C was a little high since the max is about 72C.
