Hi...

I have an amd 4000+ and a gigabyte 790g motherboard. At stock cooling what speed can I OC? Any other tips will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Your really looking at only possibly getting a slight overclock, maybe 2.6-2.7
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 3.8ghz
8800 GTS 640MB
Crucial Ballistix 2GB DDR2 800
Gigabyte DS3R

Yeah with ur stock cooling you wont be able to go a heck of alot higher. My old rig was an amd 4600x2 with a thermaltake volcano vx2 cooler on an asus 590 sli board, and 2 gigs of ddr2 1066mhz.
I cold only overclock that to around the 2.95ghz mark stable
core i7 920@4.0ghz
asrock x58 extreme 3
6 gig ocz ddr3 1866mhz @ 1600mhz
evga gtx 460 1gb external exhaust *2
