Overclock advice needed!!

Post by Ripshod »

Got my new Gigabyte GA-M56S-S3 yesterday, and after stripping the IHS off my AMD X2 I can now easily get to 2.3GHz. The problem I have now is, even at stock FSB and 2.2V the RAM is proving impossible. If I change just one setting in the BIOS or via MEMSet I get no boot or system lockup. The RAM clocked easily to 3-3-3-13 on the old Biostar but now I'm stuck at 5-5-5-15 (the default settings event though the lable on my ram rates it at 4-4-4-15 @800MHz). Any suggestions? :?

What FSB were you using on the Biostar with that 3-3-3-13 setting?
We hate rut, but we fear change.

Sorry for the delay. 230MHz (920 DDR2).
Matched the processor speed, and now I've settled for the default timings.
