Damn Roach, that sucks. Hope it all works out. I actually grew up in a town where locking the doors was pretty much mandatory. It wasn't a bad area, but we the surrounding areas were full of "untrustworthy" people. For High School I moved into an area where noone thought of locking their doors. I'm still in the habit of locking everything, and thats considered abnormal here lol.

The thieves probably were your typical smash and grab robbers. They were obviously not smart enough to take the computers, so they were just looking for a quick buck. Hope it all works out for you though.

had my meeting with my insurance adjuster - sounds like there won't be much (if any) questions from here out. just need to fill out my proof-of-loss forms and send them in...

either way - i'm hoping to get at least some things replaced this weekend.

hopefully assassin's creed will be played this weekend.

Sorry to hear about your loses Roach =(

And to stay on topic, picked up Assassin's Creed yesterday. I haven't played a whole lot yet (had to go to work =() but so far I'm enjoying it. Controls are sometimes annoying, but not too bad once I got used to them. Camera can be annoying as well, especially when it's not wanting to auto-follow the character. So far, the story is intriguing since I hadn't read anything about the story before buying the game, so it was quite a surprise how it started out.

It feels like a cross between Prince of Persia and stealth type games like Splinter Cell or Metal Gear. Some of the tricks that can be pulled are just fun to watch, such as diving off of a high place into a haystack ;)

bought my replacements - and so far for assassin's creed: i like it.

i just finished the 3rd assassination, and have been at least happily surprised on the necessary "thought" needed in creating the opportunity for the kill...i like the fact that you really don't "have" to kill anyone except the targer. i also like the fact that you CAN kill everyone including the target.

i'm finding myself eyeing up buildings around me telling myself "i could climb that..."

In case anyone wonders, this track is from Dutch/Curacao origin.

Intwine (see my sig) ft Brainpower (he's Dutch).

I just saw the clip the other day and they do make me feel proud...
