Hey guys. I just quit wow after playing it for 2 years. I read the 2.3 patch notes and they nerfed my dwarf priest hardcore. So I ask...anyone know of any other good MMOs?

i'm currently going trough my 10-day trial of lord of the rings online...so far i like it. i'm still not sure if it's enough to pay for a subscription - but it's entertaining. the world is massive, and there seems to be enough players to get what you need done...plus there's tons of quests to keep you running around for quite some time.

i've put in probably about 15-20 hours - i'm level 13 now, with probably close to 65-75% of the quests completed in one of the 15-or-so areas.

i haven't done any of the really large (i.e. fellowship/get a bunch of people or die) quests...which i'm expecting to take longer than any of the other little ones.

check it out if you're interested. it's like a 4+GB download, so save yourself some time to download it.

i think if you just sign up on their website you get 7 days for a trial - but if you're invited by somebody you get 10 or 11. let me know if you're interested and PM me your email - i'll send an invite.

-Roach

Haven't heard anything about Warhammer, but before I played WoW, I played Guild Wars. It's a pretty good MMORPG, not quite nearly as deep as WoW, but it's still pretty popular. Hey, no monthly charge for playing too! Think about how much you could save that way! :o

Ya ive thought about guild wars but I dont like how the world is set up. Where you only encounter people in towns and not in quest zones etc.

Lineage II wasnt bad. The economy was kinda messed up but if you like raiding and pvp, you might look into that one. I played it for about a year before I started in on WoW

Eve Online was a blast. If you like PvP, it has it in spades. It has a bit of a learning curve and takes some grey matter to master. Another thing I liked about it is that you dont level like more traditional MMO's. You gain/buy skills and can train them up when offline. They have a trial I believe. It is well worth the time to try it out.

Warhammer appears to be what I'm gunna be getting into. I also played wow and that got old. They killed that game but anyways, Warhammer as far as I have seen has great concept art and looks beautiful. It isn't cartoony thank god, and it looks to be the next big MMO. I can't remember the release. I know a buddy of mine is very hyped for it as he as well as I quit wow. Warhammer just seems to be the next big thing. I don't know anything really about the gamplay but the classes look fun. If I recommend anything its warhammer. I suggest you wait for it because there isn't much out there.
