Last Year's Build, Slightly Upgraded/Modded

Last year, almost to the date, I built a custom AMD-X2, SLI rig.
The details and some pictures are at this site:

Since then I've replaced the pair of 7900GTs with an 8800GTS (640MB) and recently got a 24" LCD. Also I migrated my RAID 0 to RAID 5 and its been running great.

My first benchmarks with 3DMark06 were around 7500 with the 7900GTs in SLI. Now I'm getting 8450 with the 8800GTS and stock X2-4800 CPU at 2.4GHZ. I can probably overclock to 2.7GHz without requiring any additional cooling but anymore than that would be dodgey.

I'll probably get another year out of this rig. I'm happy with XP for now and will likely upgrade to Vista next year after some service packs are available and then maybe build an Intel Quad rig if the budget allows.

BTW, Thanks to Motherboards.org for outstanding reviews and information. It helped me in my decision-making for this build and I always check this site to see the latest component reviews.
Great work!

Cool! 8)
I tried using a "Point of View Gun", but my aim was lousy. ;-)

ASUS K8N, AMD Sempron 3100+(1.8ghz), 1gb RAM, eVGA 5500FX 256mb AGP, two WD120gb SATA drives in RAID 0 (striping), 450w power supply.

Fold well, so that others may prosper.
