Changing format

I need to change some WAV files to MP3. I have nero and winamp. Can I use that if so how. If not does anyone know a free downloads I could use. Thanks so much

mm convert i think is the name of it. Sorry i dont have a link I havent used it in a while but it worked pretty good. It converts more file types than just those but it should work. The only downside is it doesn't keep id tags.

Failing any other inspiration, Audacity will do it. Import your .wav, edit it if you like, export as mp3.

There's a freeware program that I use sometimes called, "AudioGrabber." It's mainly a program used to rip your CD's (I must state this repeatedly, CD'S THAT YOU OWN!!), but it also has a feature called, "Make MP3 file" in the file list. It does come with some free encoder formats, but all of them are fairly weak quality wise... I reccomend also getting a free encoder like Lame, or BladeEnc.
