well just saw this today in the advertisment for this site

I thought they were going to put the clock speed up to 3.ghz but i guess they stopped at 2.6 and instead put 2mb of l2 cache

anyone want to buy me one for an early birthday present ?

I believe the operating frequency is 2.6 ghz.

The fact the the core voltage is listed as variable probably means that there is some overclock/overvolt headroom. The thing is pricey to say the least. If you find someone willing to buy to one Dave, have them send me a half a dozen or so too :lol: :wink:

Its the same old story of the "latest and greatest" at silly prices. $1400 for a CPU is just daft.
