Awsome review
Just a quick question, if I may... In the case of my X850XT... what clear benifits would I get (other than improved speeds) if I choose to go with Crossfire configuration? _________________

Err disregard my previous answer as it was trying to answer what benefits x1800xl over x850. The answer to your question is SuperAA (more samples up to 14) in Crossfire |

Last question...

Is/are the benefit/s going to be worth it?
I mean, I have to (of course) not only buy the x850 Crossfire card but I also have to buy the motherboard.
Thanx _________________

Let me expand on my answer a little bit. Today you can buy a X1800XL for the same price as a X850XT master card or a little bit more (+/- $50). So if you were to buy a x850XT Crossfire Edition card you would be spending around $300 and if you were to buy a x1800XL card your cost would be around $350, but you wouldn't need to buy a new motherboard to use the card. The x1800XL is faster than the x850XT PE but slower than the x850XT Crossfire, however you get the benefits I've already listed and can later crossfire the x1800xl to get more performance.
The x850XT is a good card, but I would not suggest buying a second for Crossfire at these prices. |

Very good info... I guess that pretty much covers everything. Points well taken. I keep my card for now...
