Thanks. I appreciate the thought and consideration at such a BS time.

The sheep with the rose colored glasses will continue to bleat.

Time will prove somebody right.

A mandate is more like when Roosevelt was reelected with over 60% of the vote. Isn't it?

Sure beats the mandate that Clinton claimed when he did'nt break 50%.
43% the first time around.....And still a whisker under 50% the second time around. Oddly enough no one whined about Clinton making a deal out of his "mandate"? (as in...close election...you get no mandate......what a pantload)

I don't recall him calling it a mandate, but then I may not have been paying attention because things were good. Whatever the case, we weren't in the mess we are currently.

We ought to pass the 1500 dead mark any day now.

Greetings:
Yes, tedy, Clinton made the same goofy claim to a "mandate" - for health-care reform.
But you couldn't be more wrong when you say "no one whined."
Clinton was viciously excoriated for it.
I remember it well.

And that's the way it should be be.
Any politician, left or right, should be called to answer when he does or says something stupid.
And Bill Clinton was criticized and called on the carpet more than any other post-WWII president, with the exception of Richard Nixon.

So quit listening to Rush Limbaugh and forget all the stupid things that were said and done in the Clinton White House and look at all there is available now for comment.
Otherwise, I will get out my copy of "All the President's Men" and start a daily thread on all of Richard Nixon's crimes and lies.

Ha!
