Thought I had this one identified as a Biostar M6VCG from the Bios string, but SiSandra and Aida32 both say its an Amptron Vega board. Are these in fact the same board?

Thanks,

Kaz

Toby,

Well that seems to tie in as the board came out of a Fujitsu computer.

Thanks

The B0 component of the string tells us the Biostar made the board.

The model is most likely M6VCF or M6VCG.

M6VCF.

M6VCG product page:-

It's quite possible that the board is sold under other brand and model names but Biostar is the manufacturer.

Thanks for that. To my untrained eye those boards are nearly identical, except mine doesn't have an ISA slot as the Amptron one does. A quick examination of the board reveals that the board I have has the pinouts for an ISA slot but it isn't actually present.

OEM model of one of the above boards. OEM boards differ from the "retail line" (i.e. not all the features added - cost cutting measure)
