Not enough smileys and how does rank work?

Postby Aibohphobia » Fri May 24, 2002 10:38 pm

Hi I was wondering if you were going to put more smileys on the site because I like smileys because they are cool because smileys make the world go round and without smileys and other such emoticons we would all be chatting without any way of expressing our emotions. And how about a new board style to add?

Also I was wondering how the rankings, brown belt green belt etc. work?

Consider it moved!

The ranks work as follows:

Pilgrim: 0 to 19 posts
Initiate: 20 to 99 posts
Green belt: 100 to 249
Brown belt: 250 to 399
Anti-Static strap: 400 to 599
Black belt: 600 to infinity

Flyin, you have to find them and then copy their location and then use the IMG tag in the reply area. Like this: [ img ]http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/contrib/blackeye/double0smile.gif[ /IMG ] I widened the brackets so that you can see the link as it appears for the smiley. The actual icon looks like this:

do these sites you use the smilies from state that it is ok to link directly to their images?

It is bad netiquette to do this without permission as it uses their bandwidth.

ideal way to is to copy the smiles to your own web space and link from their. Unless they say it ok.

The majority of them do indeed say that it's ok to use the smilies in any way we see fit. There are a couple of exceptions, and those I've upped to the my ftp. 8)
