Hey all...

So I've found out all there is to know about my mobo and BIOS. I'll post up everything that reads off of BIOS Wizard to help you out.

BIOS Manufacturer: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 08/15/2000-8363-686A-6A6LMAW9C-00
BIOS Date: 08/15/00
BIOS ROM Size: 256k
BIOS OEM Signon: S21MR01-E4
Chipset: VIA 82C305 rev 2
Super I/O Chip: VIA 686 found at 0h:7h:0h

So that's everything, now here's my question, where can I find the update for this BIOS and what can I expect it to do. I know nothing extreme will happen but I've noticed the performance isnt so great, the AGP is at 4x but it doesnt really seem like it and I just want the newest version so I can get the most out of my system. Aswell, I've heard it's good to upgrade the BIOS when running XP, helps with performance and compatibility. Anyways, help would be really, really apprieciated. So if you know where to find the newest upgrade, that'd be phat. Peace out.

Hmmm, seems that this MoBo is very similar to mine but not exactly... It's more then less just the prehipherals that are different and the CPU, as mine is a Duron 700, not 600. If anyone can find the BIOS upgrade for this, it would be great.

I have seen the AW manufacturer identifier only on a Shuttle AK10 so far, it may well be an OEM board by them, but the bios has to come from IBM...

Shuttle AK10 string:
09/19/2000-8363-686A-6A6LMAWCC-00

He means that the board may look like this:
http://www.shuttleonline.com/Images/ProductImage/ak10.jpg

And thus, actually made by Shuttle, and probably has downloadable updates for the BIOS.
But because it was raped by IBM for thier own personal use, your going to have to contact IBM for an update.

Updated Bios 10/19/2000 R02B3 :
http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&context=SP0076Z&uid=psg1MIGR-4QQUP7

From motherboard model number s21M and Bios version identifier R02-B3 it looks like an Acer mainboard ?!?
