need hi performance wired router

shareaza sugests you have a router that can handle hi traffic levels, such as a gamers router. this is due to the situation where you could be downloading parts of the same file from as many as 30 to 50 or more users at the same time, depending on the power of your computer and the settings you have modifide from default. anyone know what wired router could handle that requirement. I am using DSL and need a 4 0r 7 port unit. Only one cpu would be needing that type of file swarm input.
that which does not kill you only makes you a better person

Pretty much any router should work fine. I prefer Linksys personally because I happen to like the fact that their products are built on Cisco technology. If you really want to you can open up more ports for it (if a port range is available in the program). That might help some, but besides that it really shouldn't matter what kind of router you get as long as it's not a retro router from the 80's or something.

I would recommend the D-Link DI-604. It has very high ratings. I just got mine in today. It works great, and is very easy to setup. I pull about 2MB a second on a DSL connection with it.
On top of that it only $38 ($0.99 shipping plus $10 mail in)

They also have an 8-port model the DI-808HV
