Need help with PCChips board ID, pls

Postby Koil » Mon Jun 28, 2004 11:34 am

Hello all...

I have been given the task of taking a friends PC that they're not sure if the MoBo or the Processor works...but just so I know have jumpers set correctly and all that, I need the manual and I can't ID the MoBo

Its a PC Chips (ya, i know) MoBo. for P4

4 ISA

1 AGP

4 RAM SIMM \ DIMM slots

It says PC400 on the heatsink on the middle of the board, i used to own one of these things, so i am assuming thats the FSB speed as well

There are 2 stickers on the printer port on the back (prolly not very helpful, but I'll give anyway)
First one- EA = 000795E965B7
Second has a bar code with this number below - D44YE21200815

There is a sticker on a ROM chip that says
686
AMIBIOS
(c) 1999
BG07
6745

there are 2 other chips on the board as well, these are not socketed, just soldered straight to the board.

First one:

ite
IT8705F
0208-FX5
M1U9F0

Second one:

XP4
HT7961
PLA7187A2
0201EA

Thats about all I can do right now...its not possible to boot to get bios strings. If anyone knows a secret little place for ID'ing this board or if there is any furhter information I get you, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks in advance!

I assume you meant PCI and not ISA slots...
Could you recount them, if there are only 4, check to make sure there are no area's where slots could be but just not soldered to the board.

yes, sorry pci, not isa...hehe

and no....no blank slots or anything

there is a small little slot inbetween the AGP and PCI alots...maybe for a modem or sound card???

but thats about it...

not too many replies...doesn't bode well...

did i leave off any info thats obviously needed?

brains a lil frazzled, as you can tell from the ISA / PCI thing..lol

First possible match:
http://www.baber.com/baber/411/pcchips_m930lmr.htm

Reffered to as the M930LMR, M930L, and M930LR....

Looks like that is the only one matching your description.
Check for a version number near the keyboard connector.

Version 5.1 Manual:

Version 5.1A Manual:

Version 5.2 Manual (possibly):

thats pretty damn close, visually anyway...there is an area on the pic (behind the PCI slots closest to the edge of the mobo) where the board has a kind of empty area except for a large trace, and the one I have doesn't have that...but they could have a redesign at some point i guess

gonna get the manual for that one for right now so I can get started, hopefully not a whole lot of variance between jumper settings..hopefully

Just wanted to thank you guys for your help...I believe you got the right board for me, and the ver. # was 5.1

Now the dang thing isn't booting at all, get a little fan tick on power on, but then stops....off to the tech support board now.

Thank you!!
