No AGP video on Shuttle AK21

Postby bigmeancow » Tue May 21, 2002 6:21 pm

Hi All,

I just installed a new Shuttle AK21(KT266) with an Athlon1400. When I put my AGP video card(ATI Rage 128 pro) in, I don't get any video. I get what sounds like a long beep followed by two short beeps. I put in an old PCI video card and got video, so I went into the BIOS. There was a setting, "Init Display First", that could be set to PCI or AGP. I changed it to AGP, but it still won't work.

I took my AGP card back out and tried it in my old system and it worked fine....so it doesn't appear to be a faulty card. I also tried loading the fail-safe defaults and the Optimized defaults in the BIOS....but still nothing.

Any ideas? It's frustrating! ;)

Thanks in advance.

Is the long beep and two short beeps repeated when you have no video card in the AGP or PCI slot?
